I have been a successful pet portrait artist for the last 15 years and have decided to branch out and do something that fills me with inspiration and freedom of expression in seascapes. With many hours of hard work and determination, and not say frustration from transferring from coloured pencil to a paint brush, and workshops with some wonderful professionals it is all coming together.
I have always loved the sea, and who doesn’t, and over the years experienced both sailing and swimming in the sea, I feel that I have some witness of what the water and sky can do for your soul and giving a sense of calm energy. As I paint the canvas comes alive and evolves during the process there is no direct copying, it always comes from within and just happens, the paint works for me rather than I work the paint.
I have a passion for capturing the ever-changing moods of the sea, coastline, and sky. My work explores the interplay of light, movement, and atmosphere, drawing inspiration from the dramatic shores of the British Isles and beyond. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to authenticity, I strive to evoke a sense of tranquillity and awe in every painting, inviting viewers to experience the beauty and power of the ocean.
